The Floor Plans:
Entryway
The entryway, is spacious enough to welcome guests without feeling cramped.
I like that there’s a coat closet right there—super practical for storing outerwear and keeping clutter at bay.
Great Room
Moving into the great room, its vaulted ceiling adds a sense of grandeur and space. The fireplace is a nice touch and could make this area the perfect spot for cozy family nights.
I can’t help but feel, however, that the positioning of the fireplace might limit how you can set up your furniture. What do you think?
Kitchen
The kitchen, with its large island, is a dream for those who love cooking and entertaining.
It’s got plenty of room for meal prep, and I appreciate how it opens to both the dining area and the great room. This really allows for a social atmosphere where you can cook and chat with family or guests.
Plus, that walk-in pantry?
It’s a must-have for storage.
Dining Room
Right next to the kitchen, the dining area is perfectly located for mealtimes without being too formal. It’s also got access to a rear porch, which I think is great for those summer dinners outdoors.
This space seems flexible enough to double as a spot for kids to do homework while dinner’s being prepared.
Master Suite
Now, let’s talk about the master suite.
First off, it’s on the main floor, which is a big plus for accessibility.
The bedroom itself is large, with plenty of room for a king bed and additional furniture. I’m a fan of the direct access to the rear porch—imagine stepping out for some fresh air first thing in the morning.
But the real highlight here is the bathroom. Dual vanities, a separate tub, and shower, and a private toilet area.
This is what I call a retreat.
Plus, a huge walk-in closet ensures you won’t be fighting for storage space.
Guest Suites
Upstairs, the two guest suites seem ideal for kids or visitors, with their own bathrooms and walk-in closets.
It’s great that they’re separated from the master suite, giving everyone a bit more privacy.
Office or Study
Back on the main floor, the office or study is a much-needed inclusion in today’s work-from-home culture. It’s smartly positioned away from the main living areas to reduce noise disruptions. The proximity to a half bath is handy, although I wonder if including a closet might have allowed this room to double as an extra bedroom if needed.
Bonus Room
The bonus room above the garage is a fantastic spot for a game room, a home gym, or even a home theater. Its separation from the main living areas means noise won’t easily travel, so you can enjoy a movie night without disturbing those downstairs.
Its adaptability is a huge plus.
Laundry Room
No one loves doing laundry, but having a dedicated laundry room sure makes it nicer. I like that it’s accessible from the master closet—that’s super convenient.
But I’d love to see a bit more space for folding clothes or ironing.
Outdoor Living
The rear porch, with an optional outdoor kitchen, really emphasizes indoor-outdoor living.
It’s a space that can be used almost year-round, depending on your climate. It seems perfect for entertaining or just having a casual family barbecue. However, it could benefit from some additional shade solutions.
Garage
Finally, the 3-car garage offers ample space for vehicles and storage.
I’m thinking one bay could even be converted into a workshop if you’re into DIY projects.
As you consider whether this house could become your home, think about how each space would cater to your lifestyle. Is there enough room for your hobbies?
Can you see yourself hosting dinners in that open-plan living area? Maybe you’d rearrange some rooms or add in additional features like smart home technology. The beauty of this plan lies in its versatility—there’s room to adapt and personalize to your heart’s content.
What changes would you make to ensure this house feels like home?
