Any home that manages to balance style, comfort, and thoughtful design in every space is always one of our favorite plans to share.
This contemporary Scandinavian farmhouse achieves just that, leaving a strong impression as soon as you see the mix of dark vertical siding and light stonework.
The easy connection between indoor and outdoor living is a highlight, but what really stands out to me is how each level brings something special—family gathering areas, private getaways, and spaces for entertaining all find their place.
I’m excited to walk you through and show you just how well this home comes together.

The Floor Plans:

Entry
As you come through the front door, you’re greeted by a foyer that feels open yet cozy.

There’s enough space to pause, set your bag on the floating bench, or relax in one of the suede chairs beside the marble-look table.
Vertical wood slats on the wall catch your eye without overwhelming, and the shelves offer a spot for favorite books or a bowl for keys.
Off to one side, a wine storage area hints at future gatherings. The sloped ceiling draws your gaze upward, giving the space a sense of height.
Sitting Area
Right off the entry, a small sitting nook feels like a hidden gem. I would use this for morning coffee or a quick chat before heading out.
The area is set apart from busier rooms, which is perfect for anyone who wants a quiet moment to themselves before the day begins.

Dining Room
Continuing inside, the dining room opens up with a sloped ceiling and is filled with light from a large geometric window.

A sculptural pendant light, white chairs, and a simple wood table create that Scandinavian warmth—clean lines, but still comfortable.

Built-in benches along one wall provide extra seating and a casual spot to relax, while a slatted divider separates the room from the kitchen just enough.
You can picture lively dinner parties or quiet breakfasts here.
Pocket Office
Located next to the dining space, the pocket office feels efficient and filled with natural light.
A built-in desk and cabinets mean you can get work done without sacrificing main living space.
It sits away from the main walkways, so it’s easy to focus or help with homework while still feeling connected to the house.

Butler Pantry
Just behind the dining room is the butler pantry. This room is all about function, offering plenty of cabinetry, extra counter space, and even a dedicated desk area.

I think this is a practical way to keep the main kitchen organized, making life a bit simpler during meal prep or when hiding away small appliances.
Kitchen
The kitchen really serves as the center of activity, anchored by a long island that runs nearly the length of the room.
Six barstools invite friends and family to gather while you cook, and the mix of black marble, light wood cabinetry, and chevron accents gives it real personality.
Floating shelves let you display favorite dishes or cookbooks. There’s tons of prep space and an easy connection to the dining area, so you can keep conversations going while you’re at the stove.

Pantry
Just behind the kitchen, the pantry is spacious, with shelves ready for bulk storage and all your most-used ingredients. Having a dedicated pantry this close means you’ll always have what you need for meals, and you can keep clutter out of sight.

Mud Room
When you enter from the garage, you step into an impressive mud room. Bench lockers line one wall, providing a spot for every backpack, coat, and pair of shoes.
Extra shelves and folding space near the washer and dryer help make laundry less overwhelming.
For families, this type of entry is a game-changer during hectic mornings or after a busy day outside.

Second Kitchen
Next to the mud room, there’s a second kitchen with its own sink and storage.
This area can handle meal prep for large gatherings or serve as a baking zone.
I can see this space coming in handy during holidays or any time you’re entertaining a crowd.

Storage Room
Beside the secondary kitchen, you’ll find a storage area that works well for everything from seasonal decor to extra pantry items. It’s especially helpful for keeping your main living spaces tidy.

Great Room
The great room is the main feature of the first floor, and I think it truly earns its name.

Soaring ceilings, huge floor-to-ceiling windows, and a dramatic stone fireplace create a bold focal point.

A warm caramel leather sectional makes this the perfect spot to relax or host a movie night.

With herringbone wood accents and floating shelves for ceramics, this room manages to be both impressive and welcoming.
It connects directly to the kitchen and opens onto the covered deck, so entertaining feels effortless.
Covered Deck
Through the great room’s glass doors, you step onto a covered deck with a cathedral ceiling.

Outdoor living feels easy here, with space for dining, lounging, or simply relaxing while you look out over the backyard or water.
Wood decking and stone columns carry the home’s style outside. Even in rainy weather, this would be one of my favorite places to spend time.
Main Deck
Beyond the covered area, the main deck extends further and gives you room for grilling, sunbathing, or late-night gatherings around a fire pit. The way it wraps the back of the house gives you several vantage points and a stronger connection to the outdoors.

Master Suite
Down a private hallway from the great room, you’ll find the master suite. This space is designed for relaxation, with tall ceilings, soft neutral walls, and wide windows that fill the room with natural light.

A plush taupe bed faces a modern fireplace and TV, while double glass doors open to a private deck.

I really like that the master suite feels separated from the main living areas, making it a true retreat.

Master Bathroom
The master bath is spacious and airy, featuring a soaking tub and walk-in shower set against a wall of frosted glass.
The double vanity provides lots of counter space, light wood cabinetry, and sleek bronze fixtures.
Two people can get ready comfortably, and the natural light makes mornings more pleasant. A linen closet adds functional storage right where you need it.

Master Closet and Laundry
Connected to the bathroom, the master closet offers ample built-in shelving and hanging space. The adjacent washer and dryer closet means you don’t have to lug laundry down the hall.
I appreciate how this setup makes daily routines easier.

Bedroom 2
Across the hallway, Bedroom 2 is flexible. With an 11×11 footprint and a 10-foot ceiling, it works as a guest room, nursery, or even a small office.
Being close to the second bathroom is a plus for visitors.

Bedroom 3
Bedroom 3 is nearby, a bit smaller but still comfortable. You might use it for kids, an office, or visiting family, and its location offers some privacy from the busier parts of the house.
Both bedrooms share a full bathroom with double sinks and a tub, which really helps with busy mornings.

Hall Bathroom
The shared bathroom between Bedrooms 2 and 3 is well-designed. Dual sinks, a tub-shower combo, and easy access from both rooms keep things smooth when everyone’s getting ready at the same time.

Linen Closet
A linen closet just outside the bedrooms is perfect for towels, bedding, or extra storage. It’s little conveniences like this that make a house run well.

Garage
The attached two-car garage connects through the mud room, so unloading groceries or luggage is convenient. With a 10-foot ceiling and a side door for outdoor access, this space is both practical and spacious.

Staircase
If you head down the main staircase near the entry, you’ll find even more living space on the lower level.

Family Room
Downstairs, a spacious family room opens up. This is where you can really spread out, relax, or let the kids play.
There’s room for a sectional, game tables, or even a home theater setup. I think this would quickly become the hub for weekend fun.

Table Area and Wet Bar
Next to the family room, a table area and wet bar make it simple to serve snacks or set up for game night. The bar has built-in shelves to keep glassware, mixers, and board games organized.

Bar and Wine Rack
A second, larger bar sits just down the hall, complete with a wine rack for anyone who loves collecting bottles. This space is built with hosting in mind, with shelves for favorite drinks and cocktail supplies.

Golf Simulator
One of the most surprising features downstairs is the golf simulator room. If you’re into sports or want a unique entertainment option, this room is sure to be a favorite.
The high ceiling and extra seating make it feel like a true part of the home, not just a bonus.

Lounge
Beside the bar, there’s a dedicated lounge. Imagine a quiet reading nook, a card game spot, or a secondary TV area.
It feels set apart enough to offer privacy while still being close to the action.

Lake Storage
Further down the hall, a large lake storage room gives you space for kayaks, paddleboards, or off-season patio furniture. The washer and dryer hookups here are a smart touch, so muddy or wet gear never needs to go through the main living areas.

Sauna and Dressing Room
A real luxury, there’s a sauna suite with a dressing area and benches. After a workout or a long day, this is a fantastic place to unwind.
The nearby full bathroom makes it easy to cool off and clean up.

Bedrooms 4 and 5
On the other side of the lower level, Bedrooms 4 and 5 offer flexibility for guests, teens, or a home gym. Each has access to a nearby full bath, and there’s a hallway linen closet for convenience.

Mechanical/Storage Room
Behind the bedrooms, a mechanical and storage room runs the length of the lower level.
You get plenty of space for seasonal storage, DIY projects, or even a workshop. It’s tucked out of the way but is essential for keeping your home clutter-free.

Covered Patio
From the family room or bedrooms, you can walk out to a covered patio that mirrors the deck above. With multiple access points and ample space, I can easily picture summer evenings out here, or enjoying your morning coffee while looking out over the backyard.
Every corner of this home feels intentionally designed, with spaces that connect naturally and plenty of special touches throughout. If you’re looking for a house that offers both gathering spaces and quiet retreats, I think you’ll find there’s a perfect spot for every need here.
